First of all she is doing great. She is now twice the size that she was when I got her and she still growing like crazy. Long gone are those days of 5lb dog food bags. We have moved up to the 40lb bags and they even seem to disappear all to quickly.
I've been very busy with school work but I the puppy training has been going well. Izzie can sit, lay down, and somewhat shake. We are working on the stay command but she apparently doesn't think she needs to stay when I can go. We'll call it a work in progress I guess.
Since Izzie doesn't have another dog to play with here I take her to play with other dogs as often as possible. She loves it. She will play for hours and hours and will even play laying down when she is exhausted. She loves going back to Kansas City with me to play with my 3 other dogs from home.
During spring break I took Izzie to my mom's kindergarten class so they could learn about puppies. To my surprise she was so calm and let every kid in two different classes pet her. I was amazed that a 4 month old puppy could remain that calm with 26 kids running all around her.
I guess in the beginning it was a little tough with all the bills and all the sleep loss but I am really glad I decided to get a puppy and I think I really lucked out with Izzie.
